WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Assistant Merchandiser plays a key role in supporting the merchandising team to maximise product performance, optimise stock levels and drive sales growth. You will report directly into the Merchandiser while supporting the MAA. The Assistant Merchandiser will be responsible for pulling analysis, weekly trade, making sure weekly tasks are actioned in a timely manner, maintain the critical path and support the team to achieve company KPI’s. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills while communicating across teams and working closely with Buying.

AS OUR ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER, YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Sales Analysis & Reporting

- Analyse sales performance by category, product and style, providing actionable insights to improve product assortment. Providing weekly trade documents in time for meetings.

- Supporting with analysis as required for sign off, season strategy and adhoc requests.

- Review regular stock performance, sell-through while reviewing re-orders or need for markdown/promotions.

Trading & Market Insights

- Monitor customer feedback, trends, competitor activity and returns rate to aide product decisions.

- Complete size ratios to optimise sales.

- Support team with achieving department KPI's to maximise sales and profit.

Stock Management

- Ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time, referring to the critical path as needed. Maintaining launch periods across Wholesale delivery windows and Marketing planners.

- Reviewing shortages/overages from shipments, liaising with our 3PL regarding deliveries, returns etc.

- Collaborates across teams reviewing inventory levels to avoid overstock or stockouts, utilising various channels to clear stock effectively while maintaining margin.

Product Data Management

- Overseeing the management of PO’s, accuracy of ex dates, price adjustments, barcodes/SKU’s

- Maintain accurate product and stock data in internal systems, ensuring all information is up to date and correct.

- Work alongside multiple departments across the business and maintain strong supplier relationships with open communication.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in Fashion Merchandising, with a strong knowledge of stock management and sales analysis.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel. Shopify knowledge is preferred but not essential.

Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly across functions.

Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing sales orders, adjustments, and invoicing.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to critical paths, discrepancies, delivery times, shipping
routes.

Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment, including managing your own time.

Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with various departments, including finance, warehouse, and 3PL providers.

Analytical Skills: Ability to pull and analyse data, to contribute to the departments critical path.

Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changes in processes/priorities, with a
proactive approach to managing workload.
