Beautiful! But the buttons?

Stunning design, hangs well and loving the base fabric which does not pill. But the buttons spoil it for me, they are clunky and ugly, but I love the cardigan so much I am keeping it and I have cut the buttons off except for the top one and I am in the process of covering this button with blue embroidery thread with a single gold thread so when I've finished it will be a stunning feature button.
