As a dancer, I have worn sequin material and stretch fabrics a lot. And frankly I was a little worried about this dress before it arrived as it was hard to tell from the images what quality the sequin fabric would be. I was concerned that, despite the cost, it would just look cheap and tacky.

However on arriving I found the sequin fabric to be of good quality and even quite soft to wear - which is impressive for sequin material.

Of course the sequins are chain stitched so if you lose one, you’ll lose a bunch. Possibly this means the dress won’t stand up to long term wear. But that’s the nature of mass manufacture.

The jersey fabric lining feels a little cheap for the price but overall it’s acceptable quality. It doesn’t show when I fasten the dress as another reviewer seemed to find.

Fit is a little generous but in a good way; along with the 4 way stretch of the fabric it allows the dress to drape rather than cling so that it looks very flattering on. You can style it a few different ways too.

As such it looks great on and I look forward to wearing it!

Unfortunately I will be returning the dress, the colour and sparkle were amazing, but the lining was lower than the dress and there wasn't the extra closure on the front, as advertised, to adjust how open or closed the front would be. Shame, but not as advertised.
